Administration
JGSS-2021H used self-administered questionnaire and was conducted from January through March 2021. The fieldwork was entrusted to the Central Research Services Inc. (Chuo-Chosa-sha).

There were two forms of self-administered questionnaire: Form A and Form B. Form A mainly consists of replicating core questions and COVID-19 related questions including a few questions from the ESS COVID-19 module. Form B mainly consists of EASS Health module. Form A was randomly distributed to a half of the sample, and Form B was distributed to the rest of the sample.

The Japanese General Social Surveys (JGSS) are designed and carried out by the JGSS Research Center at Osaka University of Commerce (Joint Usage / Research Center for Japanese General Social Surveys accredited by Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology). JGSS-2022H is financially assisted by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Promotion of Distinctive Joint Research Center Program, Grant Number JPMXP0620335833, JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number JP20H00089 (PI: Noriko Iwai), and JSPS Program for Constructing Data Infrastructure for the Humanities and Social Sciences Grant Number JPJS00218077184.
