Administration

JGSS-2019 LCS was conducted from February through April 2019. The fieldwork was entrusted to the Central Research Services Inc. (Chuo-Chosa-sha).
Respondents received a pre-announcement letter for the survey in January, and a self-administered questionnaire was mailed out in February. Face to face interviews were then conducted, and interviews also collected the self-administered questionnaires.
For practical reasons, the administrative order (i.e., whether to conduct the face-to-face interview before or after the questionnaire) was determined by the interviewer/administrator depending on the circumstances of each case.
