Administration
JGSS-2023D was conducted from January through February 2023, using placement (self-administered) method. The fieldwork was entrusted to the Central Research Services Inc. (Chuo-Chosa-sha).
The questionnaire includes questions on digital contact, the digital divide and democracy (including questions comparable to the European Social Survey), continuing questions from the JGSS and topical questions.
The Japanese General Social Survey (JGSS) is designed and carried out by the JGSS Research Center at Osaka University of Commerce (Joint Usage / Research Center for Japanese General Social Surveys accredited by MEXT) with support from the Osaka University of Commerce. JGSS-2023D was funded by MEXT Promotion of Distinctive Joint Research Center Program Grant Number JPMXP0620335833. The project was conducted in cooperation with the Division of Sociology of Education, Graduate School of Education, Kyoto University.
